A small plane turned a Florida road into an emergency runway Saturday, crashing into the back of a moving pickup truck in a dramatic close call captured on video.

Two pilots were aboard the aircraft when a mechanical issue forced them to attempt an emergency landing near Bayshore Road and Interstate 75 in North Fort Myers around noon, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The plane departed Sebring, Florida, around 11 a.m. Saturday and made the emergency landing about 50 minutes later, at 11:50 a.m., according to FlightAware tracking data.
