Frankie Muniz revealed he recently hit "rock bottom," describing the past six weeks as an emotional "nightmare."

"The last 6 weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from. Everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time," the "Malcolm in the Middle" star wrote on Instagram on Friday. "I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone."

"The unexpected gift in the middle of it is that I’ve had nowhere to hide," he continued. "I’ve had time to sit with myself, do real self-reflection, and finally see the areas of my life that need work if I want to become a better version of me. Not the polished version I show the world...the actual one."

"This isn’t the end of the story. It’s the part where I start doing the work...the uncomfortable, unglamorous, necessary work. I’m choosing to treat this season as the foundation, not the finish line," he continued.

"If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken," he concluded. "You’re being rebuilt. Let's keep going!"

A representative for Muniz did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Shortly after Muniz’s post, his estranged wife, Paige Price, shared a cryptic message about "perspective."

"Life is all about perspective," Price wrote in an Instagram Story Friday, per Entertainment Weekly. "If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector."

The former couple later appeared to put on a united front during a family outing with their 5-year-old son, Mauz.

"Post soccer shenanigans with the fam. Our little dude got a medal for excellence in sportsmanship!" Muniz captioned a photo of himself, Price and their son, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Muniz and Price announced in July that they were ending their marriage after a private period of separation. The couple married in 2019 after being together for roughly a decade.

"After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents," Muniz previously wrote on social media.

Although their romantic relationship has ended, Muniz said he remains grateful to Price for her support and sacrifices throughout their marriage. The pair also plans to continue co-parenting Mauz and running Muniz Racing together.

"I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she's done for me and our family," Muniz previously wrote. "That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere."
